Eastern Europe-Charleston Trade

In two-way trade between Eastern
Europe and the U.S., Charleston ranks second only to the Port
Authority of New York and New Jersey with more than 26,000 20-foot
container units in 2000.

Trade between the U.S. and Eastern
Europe through the Port of Charleston rose 25% in 2000 and has
grown eight-fold since 1991.
