Follow the journey as five new ship-to-shore cranes travel to S.C. Ports’ Hugh K. Leatherman Terminal!
Zhen Hua 36 will arrive Monday, October 26 in the early afternoon. The exact timing will be shared as we get closer to the arrival. This vessel is carrying two ship-to-shore cranes that offer 169 feet of lift height.
Zhen Hua 24 is expected to arrive November 3. We will update this page and our social media channels as we get closer to the arrival. This vessel is carrying three ship-to-shore cranes that offer 169 feet of lift height as well as 4 hybrid rubber-tired gantry (RTG) cranes.
These 5 ship-to-shore cranes are some of the tallest on the East Coast, and will load and unload cargo boxes from mega container ships.
Upon opening in March 2021, Phase One of the Leatherman Terminal will have five ship-to-shore cranes and 25 hybrid RTG cranes.
