Service Changes for SC Inland Ports

September 14, 2022 - In preparation of a potential rail disruption, SC Ports has announced temporary service changes at our inland ports to align with our rail partners’ contingency plans.

Greer:
Inland Port Greer (NS) will close to in-gates of export loads at 1500 on Wednesday, September 14th. Inland Port Greer will remain open for all other services, including import deliveries and empty containers.

Dillon:
Inland Port Dillon (CSX) will depart export loads by train through 1500 on Thursday, September 15th.  Inland Port Dillon will continue to receive and hold all export loads until rail service resumes.

SC Ports is closely following the ongoing rail negotiations. We are hopeful that there will be a prompt resolution to avoid disruptions to the U.S. supply chain.

SC Ports has capacity on its marine terminals and rail-served inland ports — particularly at Inland Port Dillon and Leatherman Terminal — to serve our customers if a disruption occurs. Our investments in infrastructure and our new SMART Pool™ chassis fleet will continue to support the Southeast supply chain.

We will work with our rail partners and the entire maritime and logistics community to keep freight moving for our customers and for all those who depend on a fluid supply chain. SC Ports will share updates with customers, shippers and partners.
