Beginning tomorrow, August 24, 2022, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) 40' high cube dry empties should be returned to the terminal of origin. The Norfolk Southern railyard will not accept 40' high cube dry empties.

Hyundai 40HC Empties Diverted to Norfolk Southern until further notice
Beginning August 18, 2022, Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) 40' high cube dry empties will not be accepted at WWT, NCT or HLT. All HMM 40' high cube dry empties will be diverted to the Norfolk Southern railyard until further notice.
- HMM 40' HC dry empties diverted to Norfolk Southern. WWT, NCT, and HLT will not accept HMM 40' HC dry empties during this time.
Effective 8/15/22 Removal of Placards Required Prior to Empty Return
Effective August 15, 2022, the removal of placards and markings is required prior to the return of empty containers to all SCPA terminals.
Empty returns with placards will be denied at WWT, NCT and HLT beginning Monday, August 15, 2022.

Maersk 40' Empties Diverted to WWT, 20' Empties Diverted to NCT Beginning 8/1/22
07/31/2022 - Beginning tomorrow, August 1, 2022, all Maersk 40' empties will be diverted to the Wando Welch Terminal (WWT) and all Maersk 20' empties will be diverted to North Charleston Terminal (NCT). All reefers will return as normal.
- All dry 40' container types return to WWT.
- All dry 20' container types return to NCT.
