SCPA Export Receiving and Gate Code Changes

Beginning Monday, February 14, 2022, the South Carolina Ports Authority will open export receiving based on the ocean carriers’ vessel cut off. The SCPA will also reduce gate code duration from seven days to three days for all marine terminals.

Effective Monday, February 14, 2022:

  • Gate codes will be effective for three calendar days at all marine terminals.
  • The SCPA will open and lock vessels for receiving seven (7) days prior to the ocean carriers’ published vessel cut off.
  • The vessel will close for receiving at 17:00 on the seventh day.
  • The SCPA will not open more than two vessels on the same service at one time.

The SCPA encourages all exporters to discuss these changes with their ocean carrier partners.
