Navy Base Intermodal Facility - Public Information Meeting - Thursday, May 15
SC Ports will host a public meeting to gather community input and provide information on potential new and modified railroad crossings for new tracks in North Charleston. These tracks will be used by trains serving the Navy Base Intermodal Facility. Project planners will also present options to close certain roads to improve motorist safety. The meeting will be Thursday, May 15, 5 to 7 p.m., at the HLT Terminal Operations Building, 1500 Port Access Road in North Charleston. Read the meeting details here.

Navy Base Intermodal Facility Construction Update – Week of April 28, 2025
- Construction will continue on Cosgrove Ave. between Noisette and N. Hobson. Pedestrians will be rerouted to use the sidewalk on the DHEC building side.
- Driveways on N. Hobson, north of McMillan, with the red squares will be closed off; those with green squares will be open. (Page 4)
- Remaining project duration: The northbound and southbound Bainbridge Connector outside lanes will be closed for construction operations. Traffic will be shifted to the inside lanes. (Page 2)
- Paving at the intersection of Cosgrove and Spruill is complete. Access to the Cosgrove Bridge is still closed off.
- Traffic is now shifted onto the new alignment on N. Hobson.
- The entrance to Kilo Street will be closed off—traffic to be detoured down Supply Street.
